A Precessing Jet Scenario for the Multi-Wavelength Long-Term Modulation of LS I +61°303

The high-mass X-ray binary LS I +61$^\circ$303 is detected across the electromagnetic spectrum from radio until very high energy gamma-ray regime. emission not only highly variable on many time scales, but also periodic at all observed wavelengths. Periodic modulation was different time-scales, ranging hours, over months to several years. subject of this article a super-orbital, long-term ~4.6 We review observation multiple wavelengths and investigate systematic relationships between them. In particular, observations reveal that stable feature source. Observations other result in phase-shift pattern function energy. stability period favors scenario which precessing jet giving rise changes Doppler factor, beating with orbital accretion rate. explain phase-shifts bands shorter originating closer base presessing jet. A significant deviation TeV trend possibly requires explanation related magnetic reconnection events.
